Description

The PinePhone Pro is the fastest mainline Linux smartphone on the market. Powered by a RK3399S SoC with two snappy 1.5GHz A72 cores and four efficient 1.5GHz A53 cores, it is a powerful pocket computer and phone in one. Remaining spec’s are a significant upgrade from the original PinePhone as well: 128GB flash storage, 4GB LPDDR RAM, a high quality 13MP Sony image sensor and an in-cell 1440×720 IPS panel with Gorilla Glass 4™. We simultaneously retained the best features of the original design, such as: the privacy hardware switches, pogo pins compatible with the keyboard and add-on cases, and the global band EG25-G modem.

In time, we envision the PinePhone Pro as a daily driver for Linux enthusiasts keen to run pure Linux on their smartphone. However, at present time, the preinstalled Sailfish OS should be considered pre-Beta. This means that the device cannot be considered a consumer-ready product and is better suited for enthusiasts and developers with knowledge of the Linux ecosystem, who know what they are getting into.

The Explorer Edition production run of the PinePhone Pro is specifically made for developers and early adopters.
